Upward Technology LLC (“Upward Technology,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you visit upward-technology.net (the “Site”) or communicate with us.
Information We Collect
Website Analytics
We use Independent Analytics to understand general Site usage, such as page views, referring websites, approximate geographic location, and browser or device information.
Independent Analytics does not use analytics cookies or send analytics information to external analytics servers. Analytics information is stored in this Site’s WordPress database.
To distinguish visits, Independent Analytics temporarily processes a visitor’s IP address for approximate geolocation and combines it with browser information and a rotating salt to create a one-way identifier. The raw IP address is not stored by the analytics plugin.
We use this information only to understand Site traffic, improve the Site, and maintain its performance.
Server Logs
Our website-hosting provider may automatically create standard technical and security logs when the Site is accessed. These logs may include an IP address, browser type, requested page, date and time, and technical error or security information. Such logs are used to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the Site.
Communications
The Site does not currently use a contact form. Selecting an email link opens the email application on your device. If you email us, we receive the information you voluntarily provide, which may include your name, email address, message, and any attachments.
We use this information to respond to your inquiry, maintain appropriate business records, and protect our legal interests.
Cookies
Independent Analytics does not use cookies. The Site does not intentionally use advertising or marketing cookies.
WordPress may use necessary administrative or security cookies for authorized users who sign in to manage the Site. These are not used to advertise to public visitors.
If we add features or third-party services that use nonessential cookies, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any consent mechanism required by applicable law.
How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
- understand general Site traffic and performance;
- respond to inquiries and business communications;
- detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, or technical problems;
- comply with applicable legal obligations; and
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Information may be processed by service providers that support our website hosting, email, security, backups, and related business operations. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights or safety, or complete a business reorganization or transfer.
Data Retention
We retain analytics, technical logs, and communications only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, subject to operational settings, legal obligations, security requirements, and legitimate business needs.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. However, no website, email system, or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
External Links
The Site may link to Spark Latitude and other independently operated websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party websites.
Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site.
Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including rights to request access, correction, or deletion.
Because this Site collects limited information, we may need reasonable information from you to locate and verify the records involved. We may retain information when required by law or when necessary for security, recordkeeping, or legal claims.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our Site, services, or legal obligations change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
